DevOps Engineer

The Role:

DevOps Engineer (DV Clearance Required)

Gloucestershire, Onsite

To £70k/annum plus benefits

Our client is looking to hire an experienced DevOps Engineers with current DV clearance to join them team in Gloucestershire. The role involves maintaining and supporting a highly critical services, collaborating with client operations and security teams to ensure optimal performance and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Integration Management: Implement and manage customer-requested integrations seamlessly
• Security Practices: Embed security practices throughout the software development lifecycle
• Monitoring & Optimization: Monitor application and infrastructure health, troubleshooting and optimizing system performance using key metrics
• Updates & Maintenance: Deploy updates, fixes, and conduct regular maintenance to ensure service reliability
• Technical Support: Provide second-line technical support, resolving issues efficiently
• Automation: Build tools and automation to minimize errors and enhance user experience
• Root Cause Analysis: Perform root cause analysis for production errors and implement long-term solutions
• Task Automation: Automate tasks, including visualization and reporting processes
• Procedures Design: Design and implement troubleshooting and maintenance procedures

Key Requirements:

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Experience with Terraform
• Automation & Scripting: Proficiency in Python or Bash
• CI/CD Tools: Familiarity with Ansible, Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitPod, or Concourse CI
• Networking: Knowledge of cloud networking concepts (VPCs, VPNs, load balancers, DNS)
• Containers: Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Linux SysAdmin: Basic skills (RHCSA)
